Cookie Policy

1. Controller and scope
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by Kinopatia. The Data Controller is Enrico Penello, Salita Santa Brigida, 12 Uni, 16126 Genova, Italy, VAT number 02381070990. Privacy enquiries may be sent to enrico@kinopatia.com.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website or a third-party service in the browser. Similar technologies can store preferences or support the delivery and measurement of online services. Necessary cookies are used without optional consent where required to provide a requested function. Analytics cookies are disabled until consent is given.
3. Cookies and technologies used
| Technology | Provider | Category and purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| moove_gdpr_popup | Kinopatia / GDPR Cookie Compliance by Moove | Necessary. Stores the visitor’s cookie choice and enables acceptance, rejection, customisation and withdrawal. | 180 days, or until changed/removed earlier | Not required; necessary to remember the requested choice |
| _ga and _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Analytics. Distinguishes visits and supports aggregate measurement of website use. | Determined by the active GA4/tag configuration; user- and event-level analytics data are kept for no longer than the available maximum of 14 months. Standard aggregate reports may have a different lifecycle. | Required; set only after Analytics consent |
| Player requests and possible technically necessary security cookies | Vimeo | Video delivery and security. The player is created after an explicit click with dnt=1. | According to Vimeo’s applicable settings and terms and only as necessary for delivery/security | No separate Vimeo category is used. The player starts only after the visitor’s explicit action; any applicable storage consent requirements remain subject to the site’s consent controls. |
4. Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 measurement ID G-MSFTZGX0ND loads only after Analytics consent. It is not used with Google Ads, advertising personalisation or User-ID. The exact GA4 retention setting was not accessible through an already authorised session. The Controller applies a data-minimisation criterion and retains user- and event-level data for the configured period, in any event no longer than 14 months. The setting should be manually checked after launch under Admin > Data settings > Data retention.
5. Vimeo
A lightweight Vimeo preview may request metadata or poster resources before playback. After an explicit click, the actual player iframe uses dnt=1. According to the adopted configuration, DNT prevents Vimeo analytics/session-data collection and new non-essential cookies. Vimeo should not be described as completely cookieless: essential security cookies may still be used, and Vimeo cookies already present in the browser may be transmitted. Vimeo playback is not forwarded to Google Analytics.
6. Hosting logs
Hosting and security logs are not cookies. After migration to OVHcloud, they will be retained no longer than necessary for website delivery, security, technical diagnosis, abuse prevention, contractual requirements and applicable legal obligations, according to the active hosting plan’s settings and terms. The exact plan-specific retention period must be checked after the OVHcloud environment is active.
7. Managing your preferences
On the first visit you can choose Accept, Reject or Customise. Necessary cookies remain enabled. You can later reopen the panel through Manage cookie preferences in the footer, change the Analytics choice and select Save preferences. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Previously created analytics cookies may remain in the browser until they expire or are removed, but the website does not load Google Analytics after the saved withdrawal on subsequent navigation.
