Nutella
Parole
A photorealistic pipeline built around physical material simulations, designed to celebrate one of the world's most iconic products.
Some products don't need an introduction
Nutella is one of them. Everyone knows the jar, the label, the warmth of that unmistakable colour. Which is exactly what makes it so hard to animate — every detail has to feel familiar and extraordinary at the same time.

Dynamics
Each letter of the campaign carried a meaning. C for Creatività, and a swarm of butterflies. Others surrounded by drifting petals, floating leaves, blades of grass caught in the light.
We built all of it — every element that moves around the scene, simulated with real physical behaviour.
Everything in its right place
Bringing 3D elements into live-action footage is a matter of millimetres. A butterfly resting on a hand. A camera that moves, and a world that has to move with it.

We rigged, matched and tracked each shot frame by frame, so the digital and the real would never betray each other.
Four scenes. Almost no time
Broadcast doesn't wait. With four scenes to deliver and a schedule measured in days, the team split the work and moved as one — the kind of sprint where craft and speed have to coexist.
Butterfly animation by Gabriele Lai.
The result
A set of photorealistic sequences, built to hold up on the largest screens — and precise enough to disappear into the brand's own world.
